Once again, the community of Kosofe Local Government is rocked to its core by the loss of another political icon. Barely two weeks after the passing of politician and philanthropist extraordinaire, late Senator Adebayo Osinowo, residents of Kosofe are unable to dry their eyes now that Hon. Tunde Buraimoh, Lagos State House of Assembly member for Kosofe Constituency II is also gone.
Honourable Tunde Buraimoh passed away yesterday morning, July 10th 2020. As requested of Islamic traditions, he was buried that afternoon with a large number of family, friends and constituents, saying their final prayers for him before he was finally laid to rest.
Early this Saturday morning, July 11th, the Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Afolabi Sofola paid a condolence visit to the residence of the late politician and his bereaved family. He was one of many political figures who came to say their farewells to the late parliamentarian, and help to comfort his grieving family.
The loss of Hon. Tunde Buraimoh comes as another devastating blow to all, leaving a gaping void in the heart of Kosofe residents and the Lagos State House of Assembly. His profound eloquence and command of the English and Yoruba languages set him apart whenever he made a public address, his unique sense of justice and equality, as well as his kindhearted and selfless nature made him so beloved and immensely distinguished. He was truly a rare light of his generation. Now, these traits are all those who met him or heard about him have to remember him by.
